My husband gave me a birthday present this year that was perfect, but when I try and explain it to my friends, they just don’t understand. He bought me 2 faux wood blinds, and while that sounds like a strange gift for a husband to buy his wife, it was a symbol of great things to come, and something that only the two of us can really understand, sort of like an inside joke, but not funny.

See, it’s been a dream of mine for ten years now to totally renovate our house, from the bottom to the top, and as a New Years resolution, we made a pact that this would be the year that we do it. Those 2 blinds are my husbands way of saying that he is dedicated to this project, and I’m really excited about getting started straight away.
