The first thing is that you need to own a home. Almost every wealthy person owns one. It’s hard to become retire well when you throw money away to rent each and every month. The second thing you must do is save. Most people spend everything they make and wonder why they are broke. The third thing you need to do is invest. The current market place may not make you feel comfortable investing but after every recession is a boom. Do some studying and learn how to invest wisely. By doing these 3 things, you will be one step closer to being able to retire without sweating it.

Some people think that the words Christian and money should not go together because money is against Christian Beliefs.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.  The Bible does not say Money is bad it says “the Love of money is the root of evil,” in 1st Timothy.

To say that money is evil does not make any sense at all.  As a test get 100 $1 bills and lay them on the table in front of you.  What happens?  do they do evil deeds?  Of course not.  Money is just an object the only way it can do any work, for good or evil, is when human beings put energy behind it.

We humans must choose how we use money.  Will we be seduced by it or will we use it as a way to make lives better.  Christian money making opportunities are not out of the question.  The real question is will you build the business with integrity or will you lie and cheat to make as much money as you can.

Clear Envelopes for Crafts

Clear envelopes can be a great crafting medium for scrapbookers, mixed media artists, paper crafters, and rubber stampers.  When stamping on clear envelopes, you will need to use an ink that is meant for that type of surface.  Staz-on ink is a good one to try.  This type of ink is quick drying and made of a type of ink that clings to many different surfaces.  Rubber stampers may like using clear envelopes as a layer in their artwork.  Tiny clear glassine envelopes look especially nice on greeting cards.  You can put a little collection of dried flowers in one and attach it to the front of a handmade card.

Clear envelopes can be used by scrapbookers for holding memorabilia.  Keeping small treasures, trinkets, or even a lock of hair or a baby tooth in a clear envelope on a scrapbooking page not only protects what is inside, but also provides a means to see the contents.  When searching for clear envelopes for a scrapbook page, be sure and buy those that are archival safe.  Purchasing acid free clear envelopes will ensure that the envelope contents and the scrapbook page it sits on will last for generations.

Counseling Services for Addiction

In addition to getting counseling, you will probably want to go to a few meetings (such as 12 step meetings), as well as possibly get a sponsor and start working through the steps with that person.  This is but one path you might choose but the point is that you have to do something.  If you just sit on your couch and expect to stay clean and sober then you are in for a rough ride.  It takes real action in order to recover.

The Beach is Cool

It is cool to be hanging out at the beach in Seaside Heights, with it being Memorial Weekend and all. The only problem is it the temps are cool too. The water temperature is 55 degrees and the air temperature is 67 degrees. And it is not going to get much warmer. The high today is supposed to be 72 – and the ocean is not changing temps anytime soon. At least no this weekend. Tomorrow should be a little warmer but cloudy and it might rain. Monday is supposed to be 67.

This is not what I had in mind when I thought about coming to the beach this weekend. I was thinking more like laying on the beach, checking out hot girls in skimpy bathing suits and swimming in the ocean. Now I think it will be more like sitting on the beach wrapped in a blanket, trying to not get to cold from the breeze coming inland off of the cold water.

I will still enjoy some time away from home. I can go out with my friends at night and spend some time in the arcades on the boardwalk during the day. I just am not going to be getting many (perhaps any!) swimming in.

Online Business Supports Small Town Living

One of the most disturbing trends for me is the death of the small town. I grew up in a small town of 800 people. Actually I guess that would be considered a tiny town or maybe a burg. There wasn’t a lot to do but there wasn’t many ways to get in trouble either. People looked after each other and if they saw you doing something you weren’t supposed to be doing your dad found out right away. Then it was trip to the wood shed.

Small towns are dying because there are no family wage jobs left. People are forced to move to big cities in order to make ends meet. This is why I think a successful online business is so powerful. You can live anywhere you want and still make a decent living.

If a city is your thing, live there. If the mountains interest you, move there. If a small town is where your heart is, come join us.
