Children love their toys and for as long as parents can remember they have a belief that the toy their child plays with is safe.  A few years back there was the scare with lead based paints used in Chinese manufacturing plants for toys.  A bigger and less known problem is with a baby walker many children use.  They are the single largest toy that injures children.

In its place consider a stationary activity center for your child or using nothing at all.  The activity center is great because it’s stable and provides entertainment for your child, but use it in moderation and no more than 20 minutes at a time.

Allowing your child to learn to move on their own teaches them important motor and developmental skills that they need in developing their mind and body.
