Looking for a new compound bow to replace an ailing oldie can sometimes be a frustrating task. After all, every compound bow review you read promises you great accuracy and superior speed, no matter what the technology, cam system, dampeners and string savers they use.

One of the best compound bows that I’ve come across is the Browning Illusion which seems to sneak by with very little fanfare. It’s an unassuming type of bow from a company that produces quality bows with very little fuss or fanfare. The bow speed is reasonable, in the high 280s, and it shoots smoothly. It also feels comfortable in the hand.

Basically it’s a bow that provides everything you can ask for in a good reliable bow. You can’t really ask for more than that.
