Alcohol Drug Detox
Posted on June 13th, 2009 No commentsIf you are an alcoholic or drug addict and you want to quit, you will have to go through alcohol drug detox.
When you are using drugs or alcohol, you are consuming chemicals which are attaching themselves to parts of your brain, these chemicals will make you dependent on the drug that you are taking. This means that your body will crave the drug. It also means that as time goes on, you will need to consume increasing amounts of the drug to get the same hit.
When you go through alcohol and drug detox, you are denying these cravings. Once you begin to deny the cravings you will go through withdrawal symptoms which can be as minor as cold sweats and a severe as heart attacks and strokes, depending on your level of addiction. Therefore you need to seek medical advice before attempting alcohol and drug detox.
