Black laminate floors are easy to keep clean in some respects, although if they are truly black, and not just a dark or slate gray shade, they can sometimes tend to show dust and dirt.

If you are hoping have shiny, black floors always, there are some steps that you may need to take in order to ensure they remain that way. One thing that you will most likely need to do fairly often, particularly in a room that gets a lot of use such as a living room, is sweep. Dust shows up very clearly on black laminate flooring thus you may find that you need to sweep several times a day.

When mopping your floor, make sure that your mop and the mop water is clean as otherwise you may end up with smearing on your floor. Finally, you may need to dry your floor manually with a soft, lint-free rag after mopping.
