Valentine’s Day is now not very far away and once again you will be trying to find something a bit special that will express your love for the woman in your life. Of course there will be lots of advertisements in the run up to this special day giving you ideas about what you can get her. Many companies are trying to get in on the act by putting a different slant on what counts as a great present and are offering all sorts of special ‘events’ or activities. But I am here to tell you that at heart, we girls are just as old fashioned as ever, and the majority of us do not want to be literally swept off our feet in a hot air balloon or on a racing track.
The traditional presents of chocolates, flowers and jewelry still make us as happy as ever before and you certainly can’t go wrong with these kinds of gifts. However if we had to choose between the three then obviously jewelry would be top of the list, not because it is generally a little more expensive but because it shows that you have put more thought into what would make us happy and that you have taken some time out of your busy lives to devote just to us. Jewelry is also something that lasts way beyond the day and is something that can carry on giving us pleasure for a long time to come.
