Buying a Good Camping Lantern

The length of time you’ll need it to run is one of the main considerations you should think about when you go to buy camping lanterns.

Both propane and gas fuel lanterns have a limited run time, usually somewhere around 10 to 15 hours. Considering that you will only use for lantern for 3 to 4 hours each night, if your camping trip is going to be 3 or days long, this should be fine.

On the other hand, battery powered lanterns will generally run for 80 to 100 hours without any problems. It’s very handy not to have to go get more fuel or batteries for each camping trip. One more thing to consider is the type of batteries that you use. Rechargeable batteries usually don’t last quite as long as regular batteries, so be sure to bring along a second set.
