Can tv help you sleep

If you are a person who enjoys watching television but at the same time you value your sleep. Well I have some good news for you. Now it varies from person to person, but some people think that they sleep better when the television is on and others feel that if they watch tv while laying in bed they are going to end up staying up a lot later than they had initially planned. So what is the answer? The answer is, it is different for everyone.

If you are one of the people who like background noise when they sleep there is a way that will increase your chances of going to sleep with the tv on. If you follow this advice there is a good shot that you will find an answer to the question why cant I fall asleep. Now this may not be the best insomnia cure but there is a good chance it will work for you.

Firstly I recommend setting the sleep timer on your tv so that you aren’t startled in the middle of the night as you are coming out of the deep sleep cycle before morning. I like to set mine for one hour. That seems to be the right amount of time for me. Another thing you want to do is make sure that the volume is set at a good level. Not too high and not too low. You don’t want to feel the need to focus in order to hear it but on the other end you don’t want it to be so loud that it prevents you from sleeping.

Finally make sure that the show that you are watching is something you enjoy that isn’t too engaging. Comedies work best for me. Late at night it seems they are usually re-runs so I have very limited interest as I have seen them before.

Give this a shot and if its for you good, and if not I hope you the best in your journey to get that elusive sleep.
