  • The Difference of Promotional Flash Drives

Posted on November 29th, 2011 GuestPoster No comments

Anytime an economy isn’t doing very well companies have to work that much harder to compete for business. When people are spending less money there is a lot less to go around, and finding ways to draw in business can be a big challenge. Many companies spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on advertising, but in many cases that advertising isn’t as effective as they’d like it to be. Let’s face it, some advertising methods are not well adapted to the twenty-first century, and finding a marketing plan that will really reach the right demographic can be a big challenge. In today’s world of Internet and technology, and a lot of promotional gimmicks, the need for creative marketing is more important than ever.

It can be really good for you to work with the right professional marketers, but there are a lot of things that you could probably come up with on your own that would work really well for your business to draw in new customers. The first thing you might want to consider is the community your business is in and how that community would react to different marketing tools. Many companies are finding a lot of success by marketing online, and if you already have an online webpage this can make an online marketing campaign work really well. If you combine an online marketing campaign with something that will make your company really memorable, you might start getting the right promotion your company needs.

One of the most effect ways to get customers to come to your place of business is through promotional gifts. You can easily draw people into your online campaign by offering a promotional gift. You can combine this by doing the same thing with customers that come to your place of business by offering them the same gift at your physical location. Considering there are a lot of promotional gifts that have been given throughout the years, it might be a good idea to come up with something that is more unique than the traditional pen or mug with your logo on it. Promotional gifts can be really effective if they are memorable and surprising. One of the coolest promotional gift ideas that I’ve seen recently is both practical and memorable.

If you haven’t seen promotional flash drives, you will want to take a look at what you’ve been missing. Promotional flash drives are something different you can give away that hasn’t been done for the last century by every company in your community, and these promotional flash drives will be a gift that people will actually be excited about. Most people, no matter what their profession, will use promotional flash drives in their life, whether that’s on a home computer or at work. This can be a really excellent way to get your name out into the community, because each promotional flash drive will have your company logo all over it.

Unlike the pen or the mug that other companies might be giving away, when people see your customers with the cool promotional flash drives that you’ve been giving out, they will notice that you’ve done something creatively different than other companies. Giving a gift that is unique and nice to your customers will be noticed by people that haven’t yet been a patron of your business. With a great promotional gift your company will be noticed and it will stand out above the fray, and you will find that this type of promotional tool is really effective. As you have probably experienced in the past, there are a lot of challenges to finding the right approach to marketing, and promotional flash drives might be the creative approach that finally gets your company the notice you’ve been looking for.

  • Straight Talk Drops a New Android Device: LG Optimus Q

Posted on November 21st, 2011 GuestPoster No comments

Straight Talk is no stranger to good deals.  In fact, you can usually find some good deals on Straight Talk phones online at the official website and in Walmart locations (where these phones are exclusively sold in addition to online, which is probably the better place to buy them).  You don’t ever need a Straight Talk promo code or anything like that, except on occasion like the recent promotion for the Samsung Galaxy Precedent Android phone.  This phone was the first Android released by this brand of phone and is on sale currently for a pretty good deal (free shipping plus $35 off with a special promotional code).

    Straight Talk LG Optimus Q

Let’s take a look at the second Straight Talk Android device, the LG Optimus Q.  LG has really hit the ball out of the park with the Optimus line of mid-level Android devices.  I really like these phones and I especially like the price of this Android Straight Talk prepaid phone.  I’m a fan of this phone for a couple of reasons.  As I mentioned above, the price is $179.99 for no contract, which is really good.  I like this Android better than the other Straight Talk smart phones.  It’s a personal preference.  I am a fan of the slide out keyboard and the 3.2 inch touch screen, as well as the very decent camera that this phone comes with.  I also love the fact that there is no contract associated with the phone.

    Choosing your Straight Talk Phone

Choosing your ST phone really shouldn’t be that hard.  Here is one thing to know: if you buy an android phone with this company, you have to use it with the unlimited plan ($45 per month).  This is a very affordable and good plan, but some people will not want it.  For those people, there are two phones to look at from this company.  The new LG 511 is a nice phone that works with either plan.  Also have a look at the Samsung t528G.  Take the time to pick out a good phone because you will be stuck with it for at least a few months to a year.  Good luck!

  • The Perfect Audio Bookplayer

Posted on November 6th, 2011 GuestPoster No comments

Books never cease to amaze me. I will always find reading books fascinating. Be it non-fiction, novels, mysteries, science fiction, self-help books or any kind of book I will read it. Several days ago I found another kind of book that caught my attention, the audio books. It is simply entertaining to listen to different narrators telling bedtime stories. Suddenly I felt like a child again.

The sound played was so real I almost felt and saw the characters in person. There was one thing though that I did not like much. I wanted to skip some chapters just like what I normally do when I read paperback novel but my mp3 file player would not let me. I could not find the chapters I want to see. All I saw were file names that were so confusing. A book player will surely help me find the chapters easily. A book player will help me remember the chapter or the last location I was at before.

My impression about mp3 players was wrong. All the while I thought mp3 players will keep me satisfied and happy while listening only to find out that the book files were not arranged in proper order. I am sure everybody will agree with me that the book player would play audio books that would make the reader feel like reading the hard copy of the book.

Luckily I have a friend that knows about the AmblingBookPLayer and showed it to me. This device is something I have wished people would invent. This device helps me get back to the exact place as soon as I go back and listen to it again. It is so much like a hard copy book with all the chapters presented in the right order making it easy to locate the chapters you wish to read first or skip and go back to the same page where you left. As if this great news is not enough, I just found out that you can also listen to audio books for android phones. The good news is this is downloadable for free in their site. You can also listen to the audio book with your smartphone. How cool is that?

Now I cannot imagine life without Ambling Books that made the impossible possible in listening to audio books for free far more enjoyable and convenient. You are missing a lot in your life if you still use your mp3 player listening to your audio books. Get your own Ambling Book Player now.

  • The basics of Linear Tape-Open (LTO) Tape Generate Benefits and Benefits to This type of Storage System

The IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and Seagate are classified as the technological organisations who initiated the Linear Tape-Open (LTO) Consortium in 1998. The LTO Tape Drive bodily storage format was formulated with the open standard architecture to produce the growing storage demands at that time and will be applied as an option for the proprietary magnetic tape formats. The LTO Tape Generate took more than the Digital Linear Tape (DLT) format thanks to its 200GB storage capability for information in just about every cartridge. This could aid and resolve the storage capability requires of corporations that time. The LTO Tape Push engineering has two standard form-factor; Accelis and Ultrium. Nevertheless the later on stays as much as date as a result of some technological breakthroughs motives which left guiding the Accelis format. The newest Ultrium edition of LTO Tape Push was released in 2010 which might maintain one.5TB of information in the single cartridge. Which is why LTO have been extensively employed in little and huge devices of enterprises rendering it because the greatest advertising tape format today.

There are four generations of LTO Tape Drives that array from 100GB to 800GB uncompressed capacity, 384 to 896 entire amounts of tracks, and 40MB/sec to 240MB/sec knowledge transfer premiums. The fifth and sixth generation has long been previously projected and faster it will out from the market place. Quite a few companies will working experience the quickest transfer pace and largest storage measurement as these latest generations was launched.

The functions of a LTO Tape Drive are the major benefits of it with the people which comprise the following:

    1. LTO is surely an efficient tape know-how around the other people with regards to large tracking and recording densities.
    2. LTO has probably the most improved knowledge compression utilizing the Data Compression approach which happens to be denoted as LTO-DC as specified in its specifications and far better Run Size Minimal Code (RLL) that is utilized to encode data to magnetic pulses.
    3. LTO has dynamic rewrite of info which incorporates rewriting to broken or defective tracks and sectors
    4. LTO has a Cartridge Memory to easily track down knowledge in the massive room. There is certainly also specific indexing of recorded models that is employed for fast knowledge looking and recovery
  • Back in Time: Who Invented The Internet?

Posted on September 7th, 2011 GuestPoster No comments

Who invented the internet? This is one of the most widely debated questions there is. This invention that has changed life as we know it, brought on new computer technologies, and continues to grow and expand every day. One thing we do know for sure is that, although he pushed for its development, Al Gore did not invent the internet.

It took many years and many people to invent the internet. A paper by Leonard Klein in 1961 discussed the concept of a “network” of computers. He was trying to find out how to put together a large communication net for information.

An agency for research projects was formed in the 1960’s by the U.S. Department of Defense. J.C.R. Licklider was the first director of the office for Information Processing formed in 1962. Licklider had the first vision of an entire network of computers.

In 1966 the ARPANET was launched. This was considered the forerunner to the internet. It linked universities and research centers. The ARPANET was using a milestone in technology, switching exchanges. The same year messages were sent between UCLA and the Stanford Research Institute. In 1972 Email was introduced. In 1974 the Telenet was introduced and was considered an ISP. It was also considered the first commercial version of the Internet.

There were two critical points of development in establishing the Internet. In 1975 Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the TCP/IP protocol. He proposed network computers in 1989. TCP/IP was standard protocol by 1982 and by 1991 “WWW” had been established. It was then that the Internet became known as a life changing invention.

So to answer the question, “Who invented the Internet, one of the many inventions that changed the world?” It took many people over several years to put all the many pieces together and come up with this amazing invention. Life will never be the same because of it.

  • Electric Wheelchair Accessories for You

The right accessories for your electric wheelchair are just as vital for one’s electric wheelchair as the right accessories are for one’s car. Accessories are not just for personalization either and the right accessories will not only make your electric wheelchair safer for you and more comfortable but will multiply the value that your electric wheelchair provides to you.

Something as simple as wheelchair side pouch makes sure that you always have a place to store the things that you always need to carry for you whether it is your bag of medications, a book to read, a bottle holder for electric wheelchairs makes sure you always have water with you and an electric wheelchair umbrella holder will mean that you never leave your house without an umbrella.

The place to look for all the electric wheelchair accessories you could probably want and to even discover new accessories that you did not even know existed that could fulfill a need that you have is at the online sites like eBay.com and Amazon.com.

  • The ATM Machine: A Modern Marvel?

Posted on August 16th, 2011 GuestPoster No comments

The ATM machine can, by many standards, be called a modern marvel. Perhaps not by the standards of the TV show that goes by that name, but by other standards I think it can. Let’s talk about a few ways that the ATM machine has significantly influenced the way our economy has functioned over the last several decades.

    1. The Power Of Cash When the ATM machine was first introduced, credit cards and ATM cards were not things that everyone had. In fact, officially speaking, the process of attaching a magnetic strip to a plastic card wasn’t developed until 1960, and as the story goes, the solution was really ironed out by an engineer’s wife, with a literal iron. It turned out, the iron was the perfect temperature to bond the two materials. Having access to cash is one the big contributions of the modern ATM. Years ago, you had to go to the bank whenever you needed cash, and you would have to go when they were open. Getting to a bank during banking hours continues to be a difficult issue today, but we’re lucky enough to have access to 24-hour ATMs, so trips to the bank are less frequent.

    2. The Freedom Of Location Today, you are most likely within walking distance of an ATM wherever you go. This not only makes cash transactions with businesses easier to execute, but transactions with private individuals as well. Also, instead of having to meet with a banker to move money between accounts, you can now do transfers, deposits, and withdrawals all at your local ATM machine. While the ATM machine was initially designed to just let people get money when they needed it outside of banking hours, today, the ATM is like a free-standing bank. No longer are ATM machines only found at bank locations, and no longer do you have to find an ATM that has your bank brand on the front. The proliferation of the ATM machine has made the economy responsive.

    3. Reduction Of Costs While it was certainly part of the initial reasoning behind the ATM machine, I do not believe that financial savings were the main motivating factor for Barclay’s bank to put in the first ATM. However, today the ATM machine presents a real cash savings for banking institutions. While you may think that banks are already making too much money as it is, you have to remember that the more efficient a service becomes, the cheaper it will be for you to use it. So, basically, if a bank is saving money, eventually you will be saving money. Of course all of the accomplishments of the ATM machine have come with a cost. While they didn’t initially run off of plastic cards with magnetic strips attached to them, the development of that technology was a critical part in their progress. Also, the myriad of security protocols have cost millions upon millions of dollars to develop and then implement.

Today, the ATM is more than just a machine that can give you some money when you want it, it is a network connected device that can access millions of pieces of information from hundreds of different institutions within seconds. While it is only natural for us to take this kind of technology for granted, it doesn’t hurt to take a moment every once in a while to consider just what a miracle it is. So, the next time you realize that you need cash fast, think about all the work that was done to make it so you could have that cash. Without the work of inventors, engineers, and others, the ATM would just be a piece of our imagination.

  • Straight Talk Nokia E5 and Nokia E71 Comparison

Posted on August 8th, 2011 GuestPoster No comments

It’s finally happened.  There are now a bunch of prepaid smart phones available to you, the buying public.  Don’t you just love news like that?  You can now get smartphones without a contract.  For years, I suffered with a contract cell phone plan just for the pleasure of having a beautiful iPhone (and they really are beautiful).  But now that you can get smart phones from companies (all prepaid) like MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, T-Mobile, and Straight Talk, it’s opened up a whole new prepaid world where you don’t have to sign your life away in order to get a nice phone for daily use.

This article focuses on the Nokia E5 Straight Talk smartphone and the Nokia E71 smartphone.  These phones are two of the hottest prepaid phones out right now.  Available on the official Straight Talk website in and some WalMart stores across the country, these phones are being sold quite quickly.  One of the reasons these Straight Talk smartphones are flying off the shelves (and the Straight Talk smartphones aren’t alone–MetroPCS is moving some serious numbers too) is that they work with a top flight unlimited plan.  It’s only $45 per month and both of these phones run on this plan.  In fact, this plan is the only option you have for these phones.  You unfortunately don’t get to choose between the unlimited and the 1,000 minutes plan, which is $15 cheaper.

Still, the fact remains that you would probably want the unlimited plan anyways since it will give you the most bang for your buck with these smart phones.  Both phones let you manage email from multiple accounts, but the Nokia E5 may be the stronger at that particular task.  The Nokia E71 is supposed to have a stronger body, since the E5 is made mostly out of plastic except for the battery plate to the rear of the phone.  The E5 has a slightly more powerful screen and a less sticky keypad, but overall there are some very close similarities between these phones.

  • Neat Scanner For Modern Offices

Posted on July 6th, 2011 GuestPoster No comments

Every office is in need of a neat scanner. With a neat scanner, you transform an old office into a new generation office capable of scanning everything the office needs to operate. Instead of having a pile of documents on the desk, you have that pile inside the hard drive, indexed by desktop tools and searchable as fast as you can type. With the workload increase and the bureaucracy, a scan will clean up all the clutter in your office faster than you think. Most scans are able to scan a normal A4 page in less than ten seconds. This means in less than a year you will have all your office documents in digital format. Thus, it would also be a great option to go for a cheap cd duplication after scanning your documents, to have extra copies stored in the cd of your documents.

To enjoy your experience with the scanner you need to carefully select the best scanner for your needs. There is no such thing as the all round perfect neat scanner, each one is better for one task than the other but worse on other tasks. For example, a fixed scanner is perfect for the average office that needs to scan a large number of documents, cares about the price of the scanner and does not need to carry the scan around very often. On the other hand, a hand scanner is better for tasks such as library scanning and for everywhere scans.

There is the automatic scan feeder model that feeds a large number of documents to the neat scanner. This is the ideal for offices where there is a large number of papers to be scanner every day, saving the time you would spend manually feeding the documents to the scanner. Most feeders have a capacity up to 120 documents, big enough to scan a number of documents that are as large as a small book.

The best scanner brands are Hp, Cannon and Fujitsu. You should shop around to search the best prices before the final decision. The internet has cheaper prices than real stores because of lower costs to run the business. Amazon is the most trusted website and the first place to visit. EBay has cheaper prices but you should buy only from a power seller to avoid being scammed.

Consider also convert slides to digital images for your old company pictures and reminisce the past in an instant.

  • IPhone Unlock: A Guide On How To Unlock IPhone

Posted on June 26th, 2011 GuestPoster No comments

For a lot of smartphone owners, getting their iPhone unlocked is the first order of business after purchase. They understand that by doing so, they can rack up hundreds of dollars in savings over the course of their ownership. iPhone unlock is a process in which the built-in mechanism that restricts the device to one telecoms company is lifted, such that you can use the phone with any carrier you please.

This is important because other carriers may be able to give you a better deal on their monthly plans, depending on your usage type. If you’re abroad, you may want to use a local SIM card which typically comes with cheap with prepaid loads. Without iPhone unlock, you can’t do this. Instead, the default carrier will charge you hefty roaming rates.

Remember that if you unlock your iPhone before the termination of your contract, you may be billed additional charges. When you request for this service, you will need to wait a few days before you receive a notification that the process is finished. If you’re planning for a trip abroad, don’t wait ‘til the last minute. Ask for iPhone unlock way ahead of time so you can be assured of a trouble-free journey.

After the carrier has unlocked your phone, it’s now your responsibility to find a suitable replacement. Get a better plan from another carrier and insert their SIM card into the iPhone. Synchronize it to your computer using standard steps in iTunes. The program should confirm the successful iPhone unlock. If you’re worried that your new SIM is much bigger than the slot on the phone, rest assured there’s a simple solution. You can get a SIM cutter for a song at any good electronic goods store. It will shave the excess plastic and give you a neatly cut microSIM that will fit perfectly into your unlock iPhone.

The bottom line here is choice. Using the iPhone unlock process, you’ll have the ability to switch to the carrier which offers the best plans for your needs at cheaper rates and better coverage.
