Is A Mini Notebook For You?
Posted on February 3rd, 2010 No commentsI asked myself who needed a mini notebook and if I really needed one. It’s funny because I didn’t really need one, but it was pretty easy to justify the small expense to get one. The funny thing is, after I purchased and used one for awhile I decided not only did I need one, but that I couldn’t imagine living without one.
So why did I end up loving it so much? Well for starters the size. I purchased a 9 inch model of the mini laptop and it’s so small, yet usable at the same time. I typically would find myself not carrying my full sized notebook, not because of how big it was, but because it was just large enough that including that with my cell phone, digital camera, iPod, and a few other small things, the laptop ended up being the gadget left behind. After purchasing the mini notebook it was easy to throw it in the bag or even carry it under by arm.
It’s so usable. Believe it or not large laptops are intimidating to people. Whether you’re taking notes in school, conducting an interview, or just having coffee with someone, people see you hall out a big laptop and they become intimidated. I’m not really sure why people react the way they do, but the response was totally different with mini notebook computers. People saw it as less threatening and more cute than intimidating.
I’m sure the mini notebook isn’t for everyone, but after trying one for a few weeks I have to say it’s definitely for me. With the cost being so affordable and the resale value being relatively high, it’s a great chance to take to see if one is for you. Give it a try, I promise you’ll get hooked like I did.

How To Find Even Cheaper iPods
Posted on July 19th, 2009 No commentsSomething to keep in mind when you are searching for really cheap iPods, is the line between what you NEED and what you WANT. There are so many extra accessories available for iPods that the line can get a little blurry. If you get just the bare bones product, meaning just getting what you must have in order to use the device, will decrease the amount you are going to pay in the end. If you really do think that you need all the little extra things, like arm bands (which I will admit is needed if you are exercising with you iPod) you can do a separate search for them online or at the stores. The Internet is irrefutably the best place to look for bargain items. Finding really cheap iPods is relatively easy if you are willing to do a little research.

Some People Always Need the Newest
Posted on July 19th, 2009 No commentsThere are a certain group of people out there who insist on always having the latest of everything. Every time a new model stereo comes out, they will buy it and get rid of their old one. These people quite often will have every generation of iPhone ever manufactured, because as soon as a new one comes out, they are all over it, quite often without even knowing what the new improvements are in this release.
For these people, any electrical item has a very small life in their homes. More often than not, they will trade in their older models in order to not pay full price on the newer one, and this is where we are able to make a saving. Take televisions for example, the technology is just racing ahead at the moment with TV’s and the people who always need the newest are getting themselves in a spin over buying and selling every other week. It’s a wonder they ever get a chance to actually watch the television. Because of this, there are many TV discounts to be had at second hand electrical shops, and most of these shops will give you some sort of warranty with the purchase.

Slick Computers
Posted on July 18th, 2009 No commentsI saw the sleekest computer at the store the other day. The salesman called it an all in one computer. My favorite thing about it is that it doesn’t nee a whole bunch of wires like your typical desktop computer does. I also like that it doesn’t need the box that most desktop computers need. Yes, the box that the computer is normally in is gone and the computer lives inside of the monitor instead. Isn’t that awesome? I absolutely love it and I really think this is going to be the next type of computer that I buy. It will also be way easier to move it around if I want to. The only downside to it is that you don’t get the same processing power for the money that you do with a desktop, but I have decided that I don’t mind about that. The advantages totally out weight the cons for me.

Posted on July 7th, 2009 No commentsMany people wonder about the quality of products brought over the Internet. If you are considering buying spy pens online I am sure you are know different. One of the major concerns we discover people have is that of audio recording quality of devices like spy pens.
Different models of spy pens are at varying stages of progression; we are pleased to say that audio spy pens are at the top of their game. Placing small microphones in objects is an idea used for decades and as such plenty of time has gone into perfecting the quality and sound clarity. Even the cheaper model of audio spy pens available on the market will record in good quality voices and sounds up to 5meters away. Is Magic Jack A Scam?
Posted on June 29th, 2009 No commentsOne of the newer voip phone services is the Magic Jack. It isn’t really a scam but does have some aspects of its business that make you think it is. For instance, all of those late night infomercials that they run. Anything advertised like that in the middle of the night makes you wonder if it is truly legit, especially when it is so cheap. At 20 bucks a year for the service I had to ask myself what was the catch? So I bought one, and there truly aren’t any hidden fees or anything like that, and it works pretty well too. I ordered mine from the official website and that looks kind of scammy also. It says only ten or twenty thousand left to sell and then you go back the next day and the message is still there. I don’t know why marketers use that type of ad any more, seems like everyone would have caught on to that garbage by now. Then there’s the fact that there isn’t a phone number posted anywhere on their website, nor in the packaging when you receive the Magic Jack. The company does provide a lot of propaganda about how online customer service is better, maybe it is but it just seems weird for a phone company not to have a phone number, don’t you think?

Direct TV Sunday Ticket Costs
Posted on June 27th, 2009 No commentsThis upcoming NFL season should be interesting from a business perspective. While the pundits on TV keep saying we are in an economic Armageddon, nothing motivates the American consumer to spend money more than the National Football League. This year, the cost for the Direct TV Sunday Ticket package is expected to be around $300. If you want the Red Zone channel plus HD access, you have to pay another $99 for the Superfan add on. Will they typical fan be ready to spend $400 on NFL programming in 2009? It is hard to say, but Direct TV is still betting on the NFL. They recently renewed the Sunday Ticket package at the cool price of $1 billion dollars a year, so they are certainly expecting their customers to keep on paying for the NFL.

Review of the Viore PLC7V95
Posted on June 20th, 2009 No commentsThe Viore PLC7V95 is a 7 inch portable TV with a LCD screen. It is one of several high quality mini TVs that have come out over the past couple of years. Is it the best one? I hate to say it, but no.
You will find that the Viore comes with a little kickstand upon which it props itself up. Thus you can stick it next to your computer and peak at its little 7-inch screen while doing your work. It’s not as good as the Haier, but that’s all right, because there are some things that it does better.
The important thing to remember with any portable TV (including the Viore PLC7V95) is that their reception is very dependent on where you live. Different areas get different qualities of television reception, so you may need an extra antenna to really get the new digital channels in. Nevertheless, the video is of such a high caliber that it is worth it.

Posted on June 18th, 2009 No commentsWith the influx of Wii Fit games coming out that utilize the revolutionary balance board accessory, people who might be on a budget and can only afford one game, may be wondering “What is the best Wii Fit game?” Well, with a lot a competition, it is kind of hard to find an answer to that question. But as of today in June of 2009, the clear answer is EA Sport Active.
EA Sports Active, developed specifically as a better version of the original agme that shipped wit hthe balance board, takes everything a step further. They developed a leg strap that will hold the Nunchuk-controller for the Wii, which will give you real time feedback on whether or not your positioning is correct for certain exercises. They’ve also included resistance bands the package. Resistance training (whether with weights or bands) is essential to losing weight. If you build muscle, you’ll burn fat!
If you haven’t bought EA Sports active, you should definitely buy it.
