  • Tips for Choosing a Digital Photography School

Posted on February 10th, 2010 GuestPoster No comments

If you want to do digital photography as a hobby or as a profession, you should not settle for the first digital photography school you come across. You should consider your specific needs, meaning that if you are interested in digital photography as a hobby, you should go to a school offering the basics of digital photography such as online digital photography schools. If you are interested in digital photography as a profession, you should go for a school offering theory and practical lessons such as a college offering media studies. To get the school that fits your specific needs, do thorough research. You can do research by going thorough technology magazines or the yellow pages, but the internet is the best place to do such research because you get to compare many schools, the information is current, your anonymity is guaranteed, and it is a cheap and convenient source of information.

When choosing between different photography schools, get recommendations from established digital photographers. You can also talk to others in the industry and to students of different schools. When doing online research, consider the testimonials in websites of different digital photography schools. This will not only increase you chances of getting a good school, buy you will know what to expect in terms of the curriculum, the tuition fees, the hours, and the equipment. To avoid being scammed, only go for established digital photography schools. There are different professional bodies and you should get a list of accredited schools from them. You should be particularly careful when choosing online schools since there is a risk of internet fraud and it is difficult to determine the physical address of the company in case you need to take legal or any other action.

Consider what the market needs when choosing a digital photography school. This way, you will not be stuck with a skill that nobody needs. Do a thorough survey of the market by talking to potential customers and industry players. You should study a field that you are passionate about to avoid boredom later on. You should also consider your capabilities when choosing the field.

Anyone in the know will tell you just how important it is that you nurture your childs creative side. If they show an interest in art, music, or reading, then it is extremely important that you as a parent help to develop that passion and give them access to the resources they will need to learn more about it. This is not such a difficult task, no one is asking you to know all about the subject that your child is showing interest in, but you need to point them in the right direction so that they can start experimenting on their own.

For example, last week my son, who has just turned 5, started to show a real interest in drawing. It all started quite innocently while I was on the phone. I was absent mindedly doodling pictures of cartoon fish as I was talking, I hardly even knew that I was doing it, but my kids came up to me when I got off the phone and asked how I did that. Well, I’m no Picasso, but I showed him what I did, and then I took it one step further. We went for a walk down the local library and got a couple of books out on drawing. I haven’t heard a peep out of him for a couple of days now, and it’s great to see all this creative juice flowing.

  • Why You Need A Wine Bottle Refrigerator

You don’t have to be a stuffed shirt blue blood to be passionate about wine.  You don’t even need deep pockets.  A good wine is whatever wine you like, it doesn’t  have to be expensive.

One thing you do need, though, is a wine bottle  refrigerator to keep your wines at the right serving and storage temperatures so you can get the most flavor and enjoyment out of each bottle.

There are many brands and types of wine refrigerators.  You can get one that only holds two bottles all the way up to a full size furniture style unit that can hold up to over 400 bottles of wine!

There are other features to consider too such as what types of wine you drink.  You need to serve and store different wines at different temperatures.  To get the optimum wine storage temperature for different types of wine you want a dual zone refrigerator.

Other considerations would include moisture and vibration control.

The bottom line is don’t fret.  There are plenty of models to choose from so no matter what size you need or how much you have to spend you can find the model that’s right for you.
