Cloth Diaper Wet Bag

All babies wear diapers, but depending on the kind of diapers your child wears, you may need to modify your actions a little bit.  One circumstance is changing your baby while out and about.  Most parents who have babies that wear disposable diapers just clean up their child, put a new diaper on and throw away the dirty diaper.  If you use cloth diapers though, that is a totally different story.  Since you re-use the diapers, you need a way to be able to bring the diaper home to wash it and re-use it.  This is where a cloth diaper wet bag come in.  It is a bag that allows you to place the cloth diapers in when you are out and about, and it can keep everything else from getting soiled.

There are two main types of wet bags.  The first is a disposable kind that is like a mini trash bag and can be tied up, used once and then thrown away.  The second is a wet bag that is made out of fabric and has a protective lining on the inside.  Since many parents who do use cloth diapers do so for the environmentally friendly aspects of cloth diapers, using a disposable bag to store the diapers in doesn’t make too much sense.  That is why many parents prefer to use the fabric cloth diaper wet bags.

There are different ways to seal up the fabric wet bags, and it really depends on the manufacturer.  Some use a zipper top, that is supposed to be leak proof.  Others use a wrap around band that will seal with either velcro or snaps.  They come in various sizes, depending on how big you need.  If you are only going to be out for a few hours, you will probably only need store one or two diapers.  But, if you’re going on a long road trip, you may need to store a lo more diapers, so  large size would be best for you.
