Most pancake recipes are pretty basic and boring.  In order to make them fun, you can do all sorts of things.  This is great for those who are getting bored of their old basic recipe with butter and syrup or it’s a great way to have fun with kids.

You can flavor the pancake batter with peanut butter, chocolate, bananas, other flavors, or any combination of flavors.  You can also make fun shapes with the batter on the pan.  Who says pancakes have to be circles?  You can make squares, stars, or even letters.  Of course, this isn’t going to change the flavor of the pancakes.

Finally, you can top your pancakes with whatever you like.  Drown them with flavored syrups, sprinkle them with nuts, or spray them with whipped cream.  Fruit of any kind can adorn them or you can flavor them up with chocolate candy chunks.
