Guitarists Need a Capo

The last thing you want to happen if you’re a guitar player is to lose the chance to jam with fellow musicians just because you have no idea what the chords are to a certain key. So just a friendly advice, buy at least one guitar capo and put it in your guitar case so you can access it easily if the need arises. You can get a decent one for only $4 but if you have a model that has a high quality, I suggest that you buy the ones that cost at least 10 bucks.  There’s an old saying that if you buy cheap, you buy twice. I hope that you’ll keep the in mind when you’re looking for a capo.

Just in case you have no clue what a guitar capo is, it’s simply a device that makes the strings of your guitar shorter. It raises the pitch of your instrument by half step or whole step depending on which fret you clamp it on. So if you’re playing the C-em-G chord pattern and you put the guitar capo on the first fret, it chords will automatically become C#m-Fm-G#.  If you have a capo you can easily play any song in whatever key even if you  the chords that you know how to play are limited. The only thing that you need to learn is how transpose chords.

The best way to find a guitar capo is to visit a musical instruments store. But if you don’t have the time, you can just simply shop online. The good thing about shopping online is that you can also find other accessories for your guitar. You might also want to buy a guitar wall hanger because it’s very helpful.

So there you have it, again, make sure that you choose a guitar capo with a good quality so that you won’t have to buy another one again in the future.
