While nothing really beats the heat of home heating oil or wood, there are all sorts of alternatives that people can use to heat their home. They work a bit differently as they are fully reliant on the design of the home and the structure that is used to collect the solar heat. Another way that some are heating their home without these three mentioned in the title is the air source heat pump. This is electrically powered machine that moves heat into or out of the home. The air source heat pump is the most popular type. This uses an electric compressor to then transfer the heat from the outside to the inside. This can be seen to cut the costs by what is said to be thirty percent.

Others use the geothermal heat pump. This requires people to use a pipe to take the air from underground and put it in ground. This can help cut the cost of heating by up to seventy percent, but people who choose this option have seen that they have to drop a high amount of money. People might not have this sort of money and the performance is said to decline in cold climates. However, on a good note is that they do not decline as much as the air source heat pump. These are some that people might want to look into and consider for their own use.
