How Liposuction Prices are Determined

There are many factors that influence the way liposuction is priced. But one that makes it that much more difficult is the difference in how clinics bill their patients. It is not uncommon for one clinic to charge based on the amount of time the liposuction surgery requires while another place will charge based on the amount of fat in the area to be treated and how much of that fat needs to be removed. When the cost is determined by time it is usually on an hourly basis and would include the amount of time the patient is in the surgery room and in a bed recovering from the effects of the anesthesia. It is always important to ask for a quote during consultation and to find out how that number was determined.
