In this age of the trend towards diagnosing all kinds of behavioural conditions, it seems not so suprising that doctors would come up with one as silly as the fear of success.  I mean, c’mon now, who’s a afraid of a little success.  For that matter, who’s a afraid of a lot of success.  I mean sure, I can understand a fear of failure.  That one makes total sense to me.  There’s the whole falling flat on your face in front of friends and peers that can make people behave in irrational ways.  But who wouldn’t mind being more successful.  There’s all that extra money, rewards, cars, promotions, vacations, and members of the opposite (or same) sex falling all over you.  Yep, that’s definitely what I need more of in my life.  Time to get over that fear.
