Is Life Insurance Necessary?

In an economic recession, people naturally look for as many ways to cut down on their monthly expenses as possible. Luxuries like television, dining out, and going to the movies are often the first things to go. In such a climate, you may be asking yourself whether or not you really need your life insurance policy, or whether it’s better to save a little money each month by doing away with it.

Consider what might happen if there was an accident and you died. Traffic accidents and worse happen all the time, so you can’t simply assume that nothing will happen. Will your family be able to survive without your income? Are there debts that they will be stuck with? What about funeral expenses? Though it may seem like life insurance is a luxury, it is more likely to be a necessary expense.
