Having a kid is an adventure. When you were a kid, you took everything your parents did seriously. It was the little things they did that you remember. Now that you’re an adult, even the dumb stuff they did generally makes sense. For example, there’s that moment when your daughter just won’t eat her food. So you scoop a little bit of it into one of those rubber covered baby spoons, whirl it around in circles, make funny noises, smile, eat a bit of it yourself, swallow it, and still maintain eye contact with her, smiling the entire time, just to convince her that yes, the icky green mushed up peas really do taste good enough to eat, even when you wouldn’t eat it yourself except under such dire circumstances as this.
