Thought to be originally from Indonesia and discovered by the Americans in the 1950’s the papasan chair has slowly but surely infiltrated western living rooms and conservatories. It’s geometric shape makes it suitable for every one to use and it is not design to suit one body shape. The fact that you can also adjust the seating angle of the seat makes it even more comfortable. I mentioned that papasan chairs have infiltrated living rooms above, but more often that not it’s rattan frame makes it visually more suitable to be in a conservatory. The rattan frame is very durable and therefore copes well with the extremes of temperatures thrown at it in this exposed environment. In a conservatory or living room the papasan chair is always a talking point.
