Morgan Sweet Paradise by Morgan de Toi was launched in 2007 and it is the fourth fragrance produced by Cofinluxe, which owns the Morgand de Toi licence. In this case there is a break from the intense sugary aroma of its predecessor Love Love de Toi, in favour of a still fruity, but fresher aroma, which is inspired by summer and tropical beaches. The bottle has a flower theme and keeps the traditional snugly shape of the brand. The official notes are: litchis, pink pepper, frangipani flower, hibiscus, orchid, cyclamen, musk and sandalwood.

Although it can work as a teenage perfume, and it is suitable for young women from 15 years of age, in spite of the word “sweet” in the name, this fragrance doesn’t exploit the typical gourmand notes like other perfumes of its category, for example the Vera Wang perfume Rock Princess, or Britney Spears perfume Curious.

The opening is quite fresh with aromatic water on a base of citrus and sweet fruits on a base of florals. In the middle phase, the majority of the fruity notes are absorbed by the florals, which now feel more intense, within a line of white freesias, and tropical flowers like frangipani. There are also slightly spicy traces, probably roots. In the final phase, there is a mix of roots, patchouli and sage, and a light vetiver. There is also some residual fruit in the background, which doesn’t interfere with the main aroma.
The nice thing about this fragrance is that it contains tropical fruits, but it won’t become a sun-tan lotion. In the office it can be comfortably used as it feels clean and non-intrusive. On a night scenario it is perhaps too soft, and too closely related to the first part of the day, and on the romantic side, it is more personal than seductive. With the right personality it can be worn until 55-60 years.
