Are you trying to decorate your garden and need some great ideas to make some pretty garden planter displays?

Arranging a lovely planter into a breathtaking arrangement is not hard at all. If you follow a few suggestions you too can have a striking arrangement that will receive great complements.

Every gardener’s goal is to have a lovely garden that they can sit back and relax in. One of the main avenues of creating a striking garden is by using complementary and harmonious colors to make your flowers and plant arrangements really stand out.
By using a simple color wheel, you can create the prettiest garden arrangements that will inspire you to make many more.

A complementary color is one that is very similar to another. Complementary colors can be pink, light pink and red, for example.
For more help, do a search online for a color wheel so you can see what colors sit next to each other on the wheel.
The ones immediately next to your color are its complementary colors.

You can never go wrong when you use complementary colors in your garden scheme.
If you want something more striking and bold, you would choose a harmonious color grouping. These colors are the ones that lie directly across from each other on the color wheel.

Harmonious color groupings include yellow and blue, purple and yellow, orange and light blue and many other color combinations are possible! Take a look at the color wheel and try your hand at finding some interesting color combinations to work into your garden.
If you cannot find a flower or plant in a certain color consider purchasing decorative planters that have the same color you are wanting.

Here is a great tip I learned to expand the color possibilities. Fashion magazines are bold and always stretching ahead of the curve. Browse through some magazines in newsstands to check out the colors that are paired together.
If it looks good on clothes, it will look great in your planters and garden beds as well!

Another idea is to head over to your local garden center. Garden centers are perfect for getting inspiration on pretty garden displays and you have all the plants there at your fingertips to create the same look that they have created.

Consider purchasing a good gardening book to help you with your arrangements and give you inspiration.

Many can be purchased for almost nothing at thrift stores and resale book stores. These tips are especially helpful for increasing the aesthetic appeal of a home you are trying to sell. Consider arranging some flowers or plants in a window flower pot or two and arrange them to increase its appeal.

In no time, you too will have the garden of your dreams!
