  • Refacing Doors and Drawers

Posted on July 15th, 2009 admin No comments

When you perform kitchen cabinet refacing you are not only replacing or updating the door fronts but you should also turn your attention to the cabinet exteriors. If only the doors were freshened up they would stand out hideously against the older looking cabinet sides.

As well as doors you must ensure the drawers are updated inside and out too. Drawers tend to be a problem area when it comes to older cabinets because they are used a lot more roughly than cupboards. Cutlery and other kitchen utensils get carelessly tossed in and grabbed out and they are leant on, pulled out at an angle and slammed shut. A good proportion of the refacing job may have to go into the drawers.

You can either do the refacing job yourself, you simply need to buy the proper materials for the job, or you can call in a professional to take care of the job for you.
