Seats for the Breakfast Nook

One question that people struggle with when trying to pick out a breakfast nook set is whether to have chairs or benches. There are advantages to both choices. First of all, chairs are sure to give people the feeling that their personal space is safe. There is not as great a risk of brushing up against someones leg when you are sitting in a separate chair than if you are sitting together on a bench. Second, chairs are more comfortable for people of larger girth. If you have a large backside, then sitting on skinny bench can be very uncomfortable. Think about the people who will be sitting at your breakfast nook table most often and try to think about their comfort when choosing seating arrangements. Benches are a plus because they often include storage. If you are like most people, then you are almost always strapped for storage space in the kitchen. Thins just seem to pile up there and the extra storage given by breakfast nook benches is very welcome. Another advantage of benches is that they can accommodate more people. If you have a lot of children then benches might be perfect for you because they are not as concerned about personal space and they rarely are large enough to be uncomfortable on a bench. Then you will be able to squeeze more of them around the table.
