  • Simple Tips How to Get Rid of Acne

Posted on November 7th, 2010 GuestPoster No comments

It can be a horrific experience to see your first pimple when you look in the mirror.  It usually comes during the teenage years when people are still forming their sense of self.  Severe acne can eventually impact a person emotionally and mentally to the point where they feel like being isolated.  It doesn’t help that there isn’t a clear path to how to get rid of acne for everyone.  There are certainly medications and topical treatments that show some good results, but sometimes a person has to wade through all of the various options before they find the one that works for them.  When in doubt, you should always stick with the basics of skin care and incorporate methods of healthy living as well.

Drinking water is one of the best things you can do for your skin.  It will also help to preserve your overall health since you need a lot of water each day to function properly.  It can help to flush out the toxins that build in your skin cells in addition to counteracting the effects of oily skin.  And don’t forget about the importance of daily exercise so that you can keep your body working like a finely tuned machine.  A sedentary lifestyle might leave your skin feeling grey and dry because you are simply not prompting your body to rejuvenate itself.

Whatever you do, avoid popping your pimples as a method for getting rid of acne.  You might be able to deal with the problem on the spot, but you will also be creating conditions conducive to further acne formation.  If you want to get rid of acne permanently, you need to have a certain degree of patience and stick with your chosen treatment plan.  When in doubt, consult your dermatologist for access to treatments that are more powerful than what you can get over the counter.  You can also save yourself a lot of time and money by cutting to the chase with a professional assessment from a dermatologist.

  • Glocolic Acid how does it work?

me_relaxingWhen looking into what treatments would be beneficial in the quest to remove acne scars and clear skin the glycolic acid family can not be overlooked. Glycolic acid is the smallest of the Alpha Hydroxy Acid family enabling it to go deep in the pores of the skin, it then promotes collagen and elastin production and extracts debris that other wise unattended will cause acne to surface. There is a common procedure among the treatment of acne that involves glycolic chemical peels. Several visits are required to see improvement, it is common for a reddish tone of the top skin layer while it repairs and completes the healing process. Less then 10% is a safe guideline to use, most over the counter medication contain 1-2% while some treatments can contain upto 70%, medial supervision is required during these cases. While there is no one thing that will cure acne, it requires trial and error for your own skin until you have identified what works best for you.

  • How To Stop Acne

Stopping acne in its tracks is easy for some, but for others it will require a major lifestyle change.  If you are used to hitting up the local fast food joint after school for a burger, fries, and a milkshake you will have to find something different to do after class.  Eating greasy food like that will make your skin worse.  If you always wake up late for class and run straight out the door, you will have to wake up earlier to have time to wash your face and follow your acne medication every day.  If you want clear skin, you have to make the necessary changes to achieve it.  It is not going to happen without you making some changes and putting in a little work.

  • Acne Facials Might Not Work The Best

Posted on June 3rd, 2009 admin No comments

There are many ways that people with acne can help themselves.  One way is by getting an acne facial or multiple acne facials.  What an acne facial does is sooth the facial skin and penetrate below the surface of your outer skin to clear away the dust and the root of your zits.  It was said that many people get these acne facial treatments and they work out extremely well over the long-term.

I am definitely skeptical about any acne facial treatment due to the fact that I know people who struggle with acne and none of them have said anything good about acne facials.  In fact, many of them don’t believe that acne facials work.  I guess I’ll let the results of all acne facial treatments speak for themselves.  If you have acne though, it is recommended to look into some form of acne treatment.
