Healthy Skin for Men
Posted on September 8th, 2010 No commentsNaturally most men do not take skincare seriously. Although there may be products specifically designed for men’s skin problems, the use of these items are not used as often as women’s skincare products. Many companies have manufactured these products but the number of people using it is very few.
Skincare and cosmetics are not used by men as often as women do. Men only use cosmetic products when they encounter problems with their skin. This commonly occurs when they get cuts from shaving. Even for this they use alcohol based products that can damage the skin more than it is beneficial to it.
The good thing though is that there is an increasing number of men who are more conscious of their skin care needs and actually look after their skin problems. The needs of men are very different from women. Also, the products now available in the department stores may not answer their skin care needs. It is important that before buying a product, the ingredients must be checked to see if it meets the skin problems that are present.
To address the skincare that men need, the root causes should be dealt with. The problems with daily shaving irritation and inflammation should be treated with products that have a mild effect. Using alcohol based after shaving only dries out the skin and can even worsen the skin integrity, making it more prone to cuts and bruises.
There are solutions and tonics that can be used by men which are made with natural ingredients. These products can help alleviate skin problems with less irritating effects. An example of a natural extract is witch hazel. It is known to soothe the skin from the irritations of shaving and can also reduce inflammation.
It is much more beneficial if you can use natural products on your face rather than a commercially promoted product that may have harmful ingredients that can damage your face rather than help it out.

Anti-Aging Skin Care
Posted on September 3rd, 2010 No commentsWe cannot deny the fact that as we grow older our body will also mature as well as our skin. The skin being the largest organ in the body is the most visible of all. Men and women are very particular with it. The older we get, we sometimes wish that our age will move backward so that we will always have youthful and radiant looking skin.
But worry no more! In our day and age, we can actually defeat skin aging. We have the expensive anti-aging skin care for those who really can afford it. This includes anti-aging creams, retinoids, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Hydroquinone (which is also known as the bleaching cream which is responsible for the production of melanin) and green tea (very popular as an anti oxidant). We also have a simple yet effective antiaging skin care for those people who have to stretch their budgets.
These inexpensive methods include eating the right balance of food, sleeping at least eight hours per day, exercising at least 30 minutes everyday or taking time to stretch your muscles every now and then. If our muscles are relaxed our skin will definitely like it. Also being happy with your life is important. Being happy releases the negative energy that we have in our body. Skin ages in many ways.
We have many reasons as to how and why skin ages. Our skin being the most visible, most exposed organ in our body is likely to be the evidence of what we eat, feel and do in our daily lives. Too much exposure to the sun will damage our skin.
If we are stressed out, it will make us look older. Be positive! Having a positive attitude is the most inexpensive, most effective way of fighting aging skin. The more we enjoy life, the more our skin will be radiant and youthful.

Acne Removal
Posted on March 21st, 2010 No commentsUnlike what most people think, there are actually a handful of ways, methods or approaches that you can use in terms of how to remove acne scars. Proper acne scar removal can be done with the use of either natural at-home treatments or dermatological practices. However, choosing what among them to employ will still depend on the severity of your skin condition. If you happen to be plagued by mild and superficial acne scars, at-home solutions can already do you wonders, but if you have deep and severe scars, then dermatological procedures are your best option.
At-Home Solution for Superficial Scars;
1.) Rosehip seed oil can be used for treating mild acne scars. Simply massage it directly over the scar everyday for better results. This essential oil helps hasten the process of skin renewal. It is also packed with anti-aging properties which makes it great not only in scar removal, but in the elimination of fine lines, dark spots and wrinkles as well.
2.) Making a paste mixture from the combination of sandalwood and rose water is also an effective at-home solution. This is also great when it comes to blackheads and whitehead removal. Apply this over your face and leave it there for the night for a more lasting effect.
Dermatological Procedures for Deep Scars;
1.) One of the most inexpensive dermatological treatments available for removing acne scars is laser resurfacing. In this procedure, a high energy laser is pointed over the scar in order to remove it. This procedure is also recommended for eliminating the first signs of aging like wrinkles and expression lines.
2.) Dermabrasion is also another modern method used in removing acne scars. With this, the surface of the skin is peeled away with the use of either a diamond tool or rotating wire brush. This will wear out the top layer of your facial skin and allow the much healthier skin underneath it reemerge.

Glocolic Acid how does it work?
Posted on September 26th, 2009 No commentsWhen looking into what treatments would be beneficial in the quest to remove acne scars and clear skin the glycolic acid family can not be overlooked. Glycolic acid is the smallest of the Alpha Hydroxy Acid family enabling it to go deep in the pores of the skin, it then promotes collagen and elastin production and extracts debris that other wise unattended will cause acne to surface. There is a common procedure among the treatment of acne that involves glycolic chemical peels. Several visits are required to see improvement, it is common for a reddish tone of the top skin layer while it repairs and completes the healing process. Less then 10% is a safe guideline to use, most over the counter medication contain 1-2% while some treatments can contain upto 70%, medial supervision is required during these cases. While there is no one thing that will cure acne, it requires trial and error for your own skin until you have identified what works best for you.

How Stress Causes Acne
Posted on September 2nd, 2009 No commentsIf you are trying to find information on how to cure acne fast, one of the most common pieces of advice you will find is to try to remove stress from your life. But why does stress actually cause acne? There’s actually several reasons. First, stress causes your adrenal gland to produce more testosterone. One of the effects of testosterone is to cause the sebaceous glands all over your body to make more sebum, excesses of which are one of the main causes of acne. Stress also decreases the effectiveness of your immune system, meaning that the bacteria that cause acne are not fought off as effectively. Finally, you body also overproduces a steroid called cortisol, which like testosterone causes the glands in your skin to produce more oil. All of this combines to cause acne in stressed people.

Best Ways To Get Rid Of Blackheads
Posted on July 20th, 2009 No commentsLearning how to get rid of blackheads is not that difficult. The key lies in an exfoliating face wash. With an exfoliating face wash the dirt will not build up inside your pores and blackheads will not start. It is not a fool proof plan, but it should work very well. Any acne treatment that you stick to and make a part of your routine will also help treat blackheads, as well as the rest of the acne that you have. Do not push blackheads out unless you absolutely have to. You run the risk of damaging the tissue underneath the surface of your skin, which will lead to an increased risk of acne scars. Follow these steps to not only get rid of blackheads, but treat all of your acne.

Treat Acne Naturally
Posted on July 13th, 2009 No commentsLearning how to treat acne naturally is an easy process and can be made totally organic if you wish. Treating acne from the inside out is the most natural way to cure the problem. Your skin is a reflection of the inside of your body, and if you are putting crap into your body, guess what? Your skin is going to look bad. Switch to a vegetable based diet that is rich in fruits and nuts, while low in meat, bread, and sugars to clear the toxins out of your body. Your drinks should regularly be water. Some coffee, tea, juice, and wine is okay but avoid soda and beer. This certainly is not a treatment that will give results over night, but will make you feel much better within a few days.

Natural Body Acne Treatments
Posted on July 13th, 2009 No commentsThere are many different natural body acne treatments that will work great when paired with using an acne body wash. Frequently changing the sheets on your bed will help treat body acne. Your sheets act like a sponge every night and soak up the oil, grime, and bacteria that is on your skin. Buy a few extra sets of sheets so that you do not have to do laundry every day. This also helps treat facial acne. Also, sleeping with minimal clothes on helps. Your skin needs to breathe to deal with its oils and control the moisture. This is especially effective in the summer when your body may sweat all night long underneath your clothing and bedding. Plus, sleeping naked is much more fun than having clothes on!!

Stress And Adult Acne
Posted on July 13th, 2009 No commentsThe stress of daily life is grinding on your health. It can make you gain weight, lead to heart disease, and get you a poor nights sleep. It also is one of the main causes of adult acne. The stress causes hormones in body to go into overdrive and fill your pores with extra sebum (the pus inside a pimple). Stress may be a part of life, so if you can’t reduce your stress be sure to watch your diet very carefully, drink lots of water, and wash your face every night before you go to bed to treat adult acne. The last thing you need is a pimple to make you even more stressed out. Take care of yourself and be sure to take time out to charge your own batteries and you will have a long life with clear skin.
