This way you will be able to come up with your own idea on how the bathroom should look like and it gets even better because the unique outcome can be yours. You don’t have to end up with ready-made vanities if you do not want to have the same design as that of your friends’. In the end, all you need is your own creativity to pull you through. Posted on October 8th, 2010 GuestPoster No comments

In the modern day, we don’t usually go outside, get water from the deep well and take a bath or discharge in the place near the water source. We now have the luxury of using the bathroom in times when we need it the most. Bathrooms come in different styles, designs, and places around the house. And what is good with having more than one bathroom in the house? It means that you can enjoy more time in the bathroom without anyone bugging you to get out because somebody has to use it, and it also adds value to the house once you sell it. You can start appraising the value of your home by installing a bathroom in the basement. Since it is located in the basement of the house it is most likely to be used by kids; it can also be a place where the pets could bathe.

If you think that putting a bathroom in the basement is well fitted for you, the next thing you should think about in installing a bathroom in the basement is to find a great location for it and find the things that you need in order to put one that will work for you.

There are several steps that are important in putting up a bathroom. First is finding a location for it. In deciding where to place the bathroom, different factors such as the availability of it to the adjacent rooms and its nearness to the water source should be considered. It is better to have a plumber check your water pipes so that they can give you advices on where to install it. After settling the location, the next thing you need to think of are the things that go inside the bathroom such as the toilet, tub, sink and shower. The sink and toilet are necessary inside the bathroom. However the shower is optional, since this will depend upon the functionality of the bathroom. Other things that you should consider are the tiles, paint and other appliances that will be put inside the bathroom. Once you completed the checklist you needed and know how to install bathroom in the basement, you are now ready to enjoy the luxury of having one.

A walk in tub shower is a great investment for anyone who suffers from a mobility issue. They are fairly inexpensive and many elderly or disabled people find them to be a wonderful way to take a shower safely without being nervous about falling. Walk in tubs and showers are equipped with a door so the user doesn’t have to climb over the edge of a tub to enter. There’s also a seat inside the shower stall. So, once a person in the shower, they have the option of comfortably sitting down without having to depend on a caretaker to help them stay steady when standing. Many elderly find installing a walk in shower a great way to help them stay independent.

There are many people who worry every day about their safety while taking a shower. It can be either dangerous or impossible for someone to climb in and out of a shower tub. A walk in tub shower is an ideal solution for anyone who faces this problem. • Wet Room – A Bathroom Unleashed

Posted on November 2nd, 2009 admin No comments

I had never heard of a wet room before just recently. You can find all sorts of interesting things on the Internet of course. After spending a few days trying to figure out what the ideal bathroom design for me would be, I came upon what, I believe, to be the answer. A room specifically designed to make clean up a snap. You can just hose it down and let it drain since the entire thing is made of waterproof material. Speaking from a guy’s perspective – it just doesn’t get any better than that! To add on top of that, it doesn’t really matter how muddy, messy, or dirty you get it when you are using the fire hose method of cleanup. From the wet room photos I’ve looked at for inspiration on my design style choices, it would appear that their beauty and styling can easily be up to any woman’s taste. With the correct planning we can have something that will appease both of our desires and needs in a bathroom.

  • Which Comes First, the Faucet or the Vessel?

Posted on June 24th, 2009 admin No comments

When you are picking out a sink for your bathroom the first thing that you decide upon is the type of sink vessel that you want. This decision is made by thinking about the space you have available, how many people will be using the bathroom, how much storage you need, etc. The bathroom sink faucet is usually and after thought. However, some people have an idea in their heads about the type of faucet that they like and this can influence your decision on what type of bathroom sink you buy. If you want a large arching swan neck faucet then you might want to consider a vessel sink. These styles match well. If you are concerned about cost and only interested in the most basic of faucets, then it really doesn’t matter what kind of sink you have and a vanity or pedestal sink would probably be best. Finally, a console sink usually has two ornately decorated legs in the front and it is sometimes appropriate to choose a faucet that looks ornate and antique like.
