  • Inexpensive Ways to Lose Cellulite Fast

On a recent trip to Australia, Mischa Barton (the former actress of the hit TV show O.C) was photographed on a hotel balcony with cellulite on her thighs. While this just proves that beautiful celebrities like Mischa get cellulite like the rest of us, it also had a damaging effect on the young actress’s self-esteem. A month later, the photographs had caused her to check into a mental health hospital because of self-esteem issues.

With such pressure on women to maintain a cellulite-free body, it is no wonder that there are literally hundreds of cellulite reduction methods available. Some are extremely expensive and it is dubious whether these costly treatments actually work. Here are some of the less expensive but still effective, anti-cellulite tricks.

    Tanning

Tanning darkens the skin, making it harder to see the cellulite and gives the illusion that your skin is smooth. This is a quick, pain free and cheap way to cover up the dimples and lumps. However, it is essential that you use a tanning product rather than sun baking or using a tanning salon. UV light can damage the skin, worsening the cellulite.

    Scrubbing

Once or twice day, while in a hot shower, use a body scrub to vigorously brush the skin on your problem areas. This will increase blood flow to the cellulite and help the body flush away built up fluid and toxins. Moisturize the skin after the shower.

    At Home Beauty Treatments

There is a wide ranging selection of treatments available in beauty spas across the country and they include things like body wraps, laser treatments for cellulite and mechanical massage. However, these treatments can be expensive. Thankfully, there are portable versions of these products that you can use at home, they’re much cheaper and can be used a time that is convenient to you.

    Exercise

When you want to reduce cellulite, it is important to focus on exercises that tone muscle rather than cardio which burns fat. More lean muscle will mean less cellulite because the larger muscle will tighten the skin and smooth out the lumpy fat. Cardio should still be used but only as a way to lose fat overall rather than from a specific area like your thighs or buttocks.
