Colored contact lenses can make you feel like a totally different person and add to your features. They are a little more expensive than the clear contacts but well worth the price. Have you ever caught yourself staring at someone while thinking they have the most beautiful eye color you’ve ever seen? Maybe they were wearing colored contacts or just born with those amazing eyes that attracted you to them. You could have those wonderful colorful eyes at anytime you want and should give them a try.
As for age, wearing colored contact lenses or any contact lenses are really meant for the responsible people who know how to take proper care when placing them or removing them from eyes, one mistake could cause major damage to your eyesight. Always be cautious enough to make sure that when you’re putting your colored contacts in your eyes that your hands are very clean as well as the storage case for your contacts. It also helps to keep a travel size bottle of solution and a carrying case with you during travel in case of itchiness and removal of your contact lenses.
You don’t have to be a certain age to get colored contacts but you do have to be responsible. It’s true. Contact lenses, colored or not, are considered to be medical devices. This is by law. So they do require a prescription. It’s good to do this and really not a very big deal at all. This should not hold you up for getting colored contacts.
You can save some dough by going to see an eye doctor at an optical department at a department store. They have to hire a real optometrist and because the store is already there selling things like the contact lens cleaning solution and other items, it’s easy and low cost to have an optical department versus a separate facility. The staff is also not that large, so there’s a definite cost savings going there. I’ve used them myself. They do a nice job and are convenient. It’s not any different than using their portrait studio except that eyes are a bit more important.
