Add a Water Feature To Your Garden
Posted on February 26th, 2010 No commentsThe popularity of a spotlighted garden water feature is growing. There is something about the sound of water that adds a zen factor to an environment. A garden adds beauty, color, and a sense of tranquility to any home, but a water feature adds an additional element. One would think gardening would be the interest of the lady of the household, but millions of men enjoy gardening as well. A sense of achievement washes over the gardner who is able to watch something grow that he or she planted.
Not only are fountains popular, but koi ponds are as popular. Fountains come in many varieties. There are outdoor and indoor fountains available. Others have lights, and other embellishments. Although most are installed by professionals, koi ponds can just as easily be installed by the gardner or home owner. All that is needed is to complete the job is:
1. A shovel 2. Thick plastic sheathing
3. Boulders and rocks 4. Plants for decoration
5. Koi 6. Water pumpDigging a whole of desired shape and depth is the first step, followed by patting down the soil to avoid shifting. Strategically place the plastic sheathing and secure it with the rocks and small boulders. This steps requires creativity. This would also be a good time to situate the water pump in a strategic location. Detailed online sources are available for choosing the right water pump and installing it properly. Then you are ready to place the plants and koi in the proper water conditions.
Garden decking, gazebos, trelises, and many other outdoor features complete the affect. More people prefer planting their own vegetables even.
Whichever garden water feature is chosen, not only will it enhance the enjoyment of having a beautiful garden, but it also adds value to the real estate. That makes for a sound investment which will hopefully pay dividends in the future. -
Functional Garden Decorations
Posted on September 28th, 2009 No commentsSome homes still use weather vanes and even if you do not need one they dress up the top of your new design. If your garden decorations are going to be fun, try the spinning pig or the golfer teeing off. These whirligigs also work as bird deterrents to help keep your fruit and veggies safe. Do you want simple and pretty; try one of the Humming bird styles with flowers.
Paradise gets dark and instead of using bright blinding lights try the energy efficient lighting, solar lights. They are maintenance free and turn on when the sun goes down. They illuminate the best when left in full sunlight all day. Spot lighting areas of the garden can add a fantastic visual effect while adding enough light to navigate your yard after dark.

Neighbours New Ride On Mower
Posted on June 4th, 2009 No commentsI hate my new neighbours. They are rich and stupid and so full of themselves you wouldn´t believe. Whenever they buy something new, they invite their friends to come see it so they can show off about it. Usually they buy cool stuff like a new expensive car or a bike or expensive designer handbags for the lady of the family. The other day I couldn´t stop laughing because of their new purchase. They had bought a new ride on mower. I thought; ok, soon their friends are coming over to see it but this time they didn´t come. I was walking by their house and I saw bot the Mr. And Mrs. Trying to get the nower to work but couldn´t get it to work. I guess rich people really are stupid.
