The Apple iPad 2 is a tablet that follows the famous original iPad tablet PC launched last year. The device has remained a 10 inch tablet PC (its screen has 9.7 inch and a 1024 x 768 pixels resolution to be more exact.) Inside the device there is hidden a new dual core A5 CPU that powers the tablet. The best tablet PC that has been improved with more memory, 2 new cameras and an even cooler design (if you thought that would be impossible).
The original iPad tablet PC was called by many the best touch tablet PC because Apple managed to produce a high quality device that had its hardware a lot above the average tablet PC hardware and also had a great design (great design is specific to all Apple products). Ever since then competitors have produced more and more advanced products. This is why now the original iPad may seem a bit outdated with its single core processor.
The question we could ask ourselves is if the new iPad 2 manages to successfully succeed its predecessor and remain the best tablet PC in the world. The original model was, at its time, a lot over the competition. Ever since then competitors managed to make their products significantly evolve, so the original iPad is quite outdated because of its old hardware.
The new iPad manages to raise standards. When it comes to its hardware performance we can say it manages to stay at the same level with the other best tablets (the difference between the other tablets and the iPad that existed in the case of the original device do not exist anymore though).
Its main winning point is, in my opinion, again the design. If the iPad is the best touch tablet PC then that is just because of its amazing design. The new iPad is even slimmer and more stylish compared to the original device. Another great plus is that there are a lot of accessories available for the iPad 2. Starting from the necessary iPad 2 protection accessories such as cases and covers to other accessories such as the iPad 2 keyboard dock which will let you turn your tablet PC into a great convertible tablet PC.
The iPad 2 will probably not dominate the market as much as its predecessor did, but we still think it is a great tablet worth considering if you are interested in a high tech tablet PC.
