When to Change the Trampoline Pad
Posted on August 3rd, 2009 No commentsFor most people, using a trampoline pad is a requirement to ensure that safety is considered and that everyone is able to enjoy the trampoline safely. However, many people have serious questions about when the pad should be changed, how to take proper care of them which leaves them looking around for the help that they need.
For the average trampoline pad, changing them out is a minor problem. Most are able to last for years without needing to be changed, and this makes it quite easy to overlook taking care of them. However, as you can imagine, there are some things that you need to watch for to ensure proper safety measures are in place. Typically speaking, anytime the trampoline pad is badly ripped, leaving the springs exposure, it needs to be replaced. This typically only happens after the pad is several years old, however if the trampoline is outside, and there is not a cover of some sort used, after only a couple of short years, the pad can begin to crack and become badly damaged.
By changing the pad out whenever it becomes badly damaged you will be helping to prevent dangerous damage to the trampoline pad, as well as working to ensure that you are able to still enjoy the trampoline without worrying about injury. This can enable you to focus on having fun, rather than stressing over the safety hazards.
It is very important though that you never allow anyone to use a trampoline that does not have a trampoline pad. If you have any serious concerns about the safety of the trampoline pad that you have, it is almost always best to replace it just to ensure that an avoidable accident does not occur that could cause someone significant injury.
